Happy Heinys opened January 2002 after the premature birth of the third child of Linda Byerline. Since then, Happy Heinys has become one of the largest manufacturers of modern reusable cloth diapers. Happy Heinys one size cloth diaper pattern sat on the shelf for several years while they worked to meet the demand for their sized cloth diapers. After many requests from customers, they released a one-size Aplix (hook and loop) reusable diaper September 2007, with a snap version of the one-size pocket diaper released in 2009.
Happy Heinys cloth diapers are sewn in southern California in their own facility. The managing seamstress has been with Happy Heinys since they began to sell their products wholesale. It is not unusual during a day off from school, spring break, Christmas break, or summer break to have up to 12 kids running around their shop. Family comes before job.
